Terms of Use

The terms that apply when you access or use MaxStudy on the web or through our applications.

Last updated August 9, 2026

1. Introduction

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of MaxStudy's website, applications, and related services ("MaxStudy," "we," "us," or "our").

By accessing or using MaxStudy, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Eligibility and accounts

The service is generally intended for users aged 16 or older. If you are under 18, you must use the service with the permission of a parent or legal guardian.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for activity performed through it. Contact us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

3. The MaxStudy service

MaxStudy is a fully automated, self-service educational software platform. Users may upload or record their own study materials, and the software can automatically create transcripts, summaries, flashcards, quizzes, and AI-assisted study tools. A subscription does not include tutoring, consulting, academic writing, or other human-delivered services.

We may update, limit, suspend, or discontinue features, including free or paid features, where reasonably necessary to operate and improve the service.

4. Your content and responsibilities

You retain your rights in content you upload. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to store, process, reproduce, and display that content only as reasonably required to provide, secure, support, and improve the service.

You must have the rights and permissions required to upload, record, and process your materials. You may not use MaxStudy to infringe intellectual-property, privacy, confidentiality, recording-consent, or other legal rights.

5. AI-generated outputs

Transcripts, summaries, answers, flashcards, quizzes, and other automated outputs may contain errors, omissions, or incomplete interpretations. You are responsible for reviewing outputs before relying on them. MaxStudy does not provide academic, legal, medical, financial, or other professional advice.

6. Subscriptions and website purchases

Website purchases are processed by Paddle, our authorised reseller and Merchant of Record. Paddle handles payment processing, applicable transaction taxes, receipts, and payment-related buyer support under its buyer terms.

Paid subscriptions may be offered on monthly or annual terms. The price, billing period, included features, applicable trial, and taxes are shown before purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically for the same billing period until canceled.

You may cancel a website subscription at any time through the Paddle customer portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period, and access continues until then unless the purchase is refunded.

Refund eligibility for website purchases is governed by our Refund Policy, Paddle's buyer terms and refund policy, and applicable consumer-protection law.

7. App Store and Google Play purchases

Purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play are processed by the applicable platform and are subject to that platform's billing, cancellation, and refund rules. Website cancellation or refund requests do not cancel purchases made through Apple or Google.

8. Third-party services

We use service providers to operate MaxStudy, which may include Supabase for authentication, databases, and storage; transcription and AI providers for processing study materials; RevenueCat for mobile subscription management; Paddle for website purchases; and analytics, reliability, and support providers. Their processing is also governed by their applicable terms and privacy policies.

9. Acceptable use

  • Do not upload unlawful, infringing, harmful, deceptive, or unauthorized content.
  • Do not attempt to bypass service limits, access another person's account, interfere with the service, distribute malicious code, or reverse engineer protected parts of the service except where applicable law expressly permits it.
  • Do not use MaxStudy to cheat, impersonate another person, or submit AI-generated work as your own where that would violate applicable academic rules.

10. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access where we reasonably believe these Terms were violated, the service is being abused, an account creates a security or legal risk, or suspension is required by law. Provisions that by their nature should continue after termination remain effective.

11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or that automated outputs will always be accurate or complete.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MaxStudy is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from use of the service. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the date shown on this page and provide additional notice where required by applicable law. Continued use after an update takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing law and contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of Israel, without limiting mandatory consumer rights that apply in your place of residence.

Questions about these Terms may be sent to MaxStudy at support@maxstudy.app.
